Legal templates#

Templates for the pages a published game needs. They are not legal advice. Have them checked for the countries you ship to.

Replace every {{PLACEHOLDER}}:

  • {{GAME}}: the game's name.
  • {{COMPANY}}, {{ADDRESS}}: the legal name and postal address of the developer.
  • {{EMAIL}}: the support and privacy contact. Use the same address as LegalInfo.asset > Support Email.
  • {{EFFECTIVE_DATE}}: the date the text takes effect.
  • {{AD_PARTNERS}}: every ad network your build actually uses (the mediation platform and each adapter), each with a link to its privacy policy.
  • {{COUNTRY}}: the country whose law governs the terms.
  • {{ANALYTICS_RETENTION}}, {{DIAGNOSTICS_RETENTION}}: how long Unity keeps analytics events and crash reports for your project (read the current periods in the Unity Dashboard and Unity's documentation; delete the rows if those services are off).

Delete a section that does not apply to your build: the privacy policy marks each optional service with the switch that turns it on (Only with ...: an installed package plus its toggle in IdleRpgUgsSettings, or a real store / ad profile; see How adapters switch on). The template game ships fake ads and a fake store: in that build nothing leaves the device.

The store forms (Google Play Data safety, Apple App Privacy, the age-rating questionnaires) and the checklist before you submit: Publishing.
